

Provides water and wastewater services to Auckland, managing infrastructure, and ensuring water supply.
The MSN team is seeking a Water Serviceperson on a fixed‑term contract until October 2026. The role involves hands‑on work such as installing and repairing water pipes and mains, fitting new water meters, maintaining fire hydrants, relocating existing water connections, performing network maintenance, operating small diggers and loaders to excavate and backfill Watercare assets, and carrying out minor infrastructure upgrades. The position requires strong communication skills and a high standard of customer service when interacting with customers and the public.
Candidates should have relevant experience in the water industry and hold at least a Full Class 1 driver’s licence, with Class 2 and endorsements (R, T, W, F, D) considered advantageous. A commitment to health and safety, the ability to work on a roster that includes shift work, standby, weekends or on‑call duties, confidence using hand tools and small plant, and a solid work ethic are also required.
