The Field Trainer is responsible for planning and delivering both new and existing KONE method trainings to field operatives, while anticipating product and service changes that affect tools and processes. The role works with business stakeholders, supervisors, and troubleshooters to identify competence gaps and tailor technical trainings for diverse target groups. By enabling operatives to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards, the trainer helps fulfill customer expectations.
Key duties include delivering on‑site and centre‑based training, maintaining training records in konelearning.com, and creating training catalogues. The trainer localises global instructions and technical documents, proofs translation of product letters, and ensures updates on codes, methods, and products reach field staff. Additional responsibilities cover competence‑development surveys, new‑employee induction, safety‑risk observations, incident investigations, and continuous professional development through Train‑the‑Trainer courses and field commissioning.
Ideal candidates hold an electrical or mechanical technical background, understand building data connectivity, and possess strong safety‑risk analysis knowledge. They must demonstrate proven training, coaching, and presentation skills, including virtual‑learning capabilities, and have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A willingness to travel and a service‑oriented mindset are also required.
