Assist in creating/updating precontract processes and procedures.
Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring costs are accurate and competitive.
Ensure estimates and proposals comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Work closely with project managers, planners, engineers and other stakeholders to understand project scope and requirements.
Present detailed cost reports and estimates to management, clients, or stakeholders, highlighting key cost factors and potential areas for cost savings.
Ensure proper handover documentation to project team for project kick off.
Analyse project requirements, including labour, materials, and equipment, to determine accurate cost projections.
Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals, ensuring they are comprehensive and meet client or project requirements.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
Check customer enquiries to ensure that the adequate information is available to enable an accurate estimate to be made.
Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project costs and incorporate contingencies to address these factors.
Stay informed about current market trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure estimates are up-to-date and competitive.
Maintain and organise detailed records of estimates, including calculations, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
Review and adjust estimates as needed based on changes in project scope, design modifications, or updated information.
