As the Manager, Lines Distribution, you will lead a team of dedicated asset management experts, driving innovative strategies to optimise cost, risk, and performance across the entire asset lifecycle. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in shaping the future of our distribution network, ensuring it is not only reliable and efficient but also ready for the challenges of tomorrow. You’ll have the opportunity to influence key decisions that enhance network performance, resilience, and sustainability, all while driving operational excellence.   • Monitor asset risk profiles and develop mitigation plans for distribution assets (poles and lines assets)
  • Drive strategies to optimise cost, risk, and performance
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and specifications
  • Ensure all asset management practices and engineering solutions adhere to established technical standards and industry best practices
  • Shape the future of asset management across the distribution network
  • Influence asset management and planning processes including analysis of equipment faults, risk modelling, weather impact on reliability, reliability focussed asset replacement /maintenance strategies
  • Develop and maintain asset management strategies, plans and condition assessments across distribution asset classes
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversee the management, development and auditing of the Bushfire mitigation plan, Environmental and other safety obligations, providing strategic advice, guidance and contingency planning
  • Meet network compliance and regulatory obligations, including public lighting, ESV, ESC obligations etc.
  • Develop maintenance policies and programs, including implementing predictive maintenance and enhanced data driven analytics initiatives
  • Foster a culture of trust, innovation and continuous improvement. Lead and coach a high performing team. Drive excellence and support with development and progression opportunities

  • Ability to connect with organisational strategy and identify what is required at a tactical level to achieve it
  • Understanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks and relevant standards
  • Ability to lead and coordinate failure and incident investigations
  • Experience in leading a team of technical experts
  • Extensive, demonstrated experience in technical/engineering roles within the utilities industry with experience in asset management and/or operational management experience
  • Understanding of relevant Regulatory frameworks and legislation
  • Knowledge of equipment, and technologies, with a focus on primary and secondary equipment on the Electricity Distribution Network and emerging trends and innovations
  • Understanding of relevant Australian and International standards and industry codes of practice
