What you would be doing

  • Assist Full-time Managers with quarterly reports for properties with LAHD Compliance requirements.
  • Oversee and ensure that Full time Resident Managers and/or Leasing and Occupancy Team are able to promptly, thoroughly and accurately complete paperwork for applicants and residents to ensure compliance with Regulatory Agreements.
  • Bridge the gap between the Deputy Director of Property Management, Full Time Resident Managers and Property Supervisors, as it relates to compliance procedures.
  • Supervise, educate and train staff/full-time managers on compliance procedures, regulations and fair housing.
  • Review and monitor recertification reports and ensure compliance as mandated by various programs such as HOME, CTCAC, HCD, Bond, etc.
  • Provide great customer service, and be a role model for the Full Time Residents Managers and Leasing & Occupancy team.
  • Assist with implementation of training plans for newly hired team members.
  • Assist and help prepare for audits by funding agencies.
  • Maintain organization of resident files.
  • Assist with maintenance of Yardi database and assist with staff training on current Yardi procedures and updates.
  • Assist DDPM and DPM with creation and updates of compliance policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with income limits and maximum allowable rents that are imposed by funding sources and Regulatory Agreements
  • Monitor Right Source, Rent Café and Yardi reports.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, insurance as required by law and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and able to produce timely and accurate documents
  • Certified in LIHTC Compliance
  • Excellent math skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of fair housing rules and regulations, relevant California statues and rent control requirements as they apply to the leasing of rental housing for low income applicants
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Google Docs/Spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong knowledge of YARDI a plus, but not required
