  • Provide internal and external training on industrial process W/WW systems
  • Lead the development of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, piping arrangement drawings and installation details.
  • Lead technical teams including engineers, EITs, designers, and drafters.
  • Implement, monitor and support company policies
  • Develop water supply and discharge agreements and permits. Meet and coordinate with permitting authorities.
  • Work directly with project managers and clients to ensure that projects meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Participate in strategic planning and the development of annual and long-term goals to support program and client development, community and industry participation, project pursuits, and talent acquisition and development.
  • Performing or overseeing process design sizing and hydraulic calculations including mass balances, water treatment system conceptual designs, and calculations to determine required equipment and tank sizes and capacities.
  • Develop design criteria, equipment and procurement specifications, studies, bid evaluations, and reports.
  • Lead the technical portions of proposal development including scope, schedule, and fee.
  • Review and evaluate equipment vendor and installation contractor proposals and submittals.
  • Conduct site visits to gather relevant technical information, support construction and commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Assist in the selection, training, development and management of technical personnel
  • Actively participate in industry conferences. Publish at least one technical paper annually
  • Develop and execute QA/QC plans
  • Create recommendations for client facility standard monitoring systems, procedures, lab/chemical/reagent management, and staff training.

  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Project Engineering and Project Management experience is necessary
  • Strong technical background and experience in designing water distribution systems
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
  • A minimum of 10 years experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design
