Commerical Journeyman Refrigeration
Coolsys - Refrigeration And Hvac Systems
Provides advanced refrigeration and HVAC systems for commercial and industrial applications.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Handle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Adhere to all federal, state, and local codes and regulations, including safety standards for refrigeration work.
Clean, lubricate, and inspect refrigeration units to prolong the life of the system and prevent breakdowns.
Diagnose malfunctioning refrigeration systems, using test equipment to pinpoint issues and repair or replace defective parts.
Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration systems, ensuring that components like compressors, condensers, and evaporators function efficiently.
Explain system performance, maintenance requirements, and repairs to customers.
Interact with clients to understand system needs and provide effective solutions.
Ensure proper refrigerant levels and perform recharging as needed.
Analyze and interpret system diagrams and blueprints to resolve problems.

Knowledge of refrigeration systems and piping of refrigeration equipment.
Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
High school diploma or GED, equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes.
Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.
6+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred and hands on field experience in commercial refrigeration, electrical and/or fixtures construction.
Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to pipe refrigeration equipment.
EPA Certification (Type II).
Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.
Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
