Application Manager

The Applications Manager is responsible for the lifecycle management, governance, and performance of the organization’s core business applications. This role ensures enterprise applications are reliable, secure, integrated, and aligned with business needs. Initially, the Applications Manager will serve as the central point of accountability for all application-related activities, including vendor management and governance. Over time, the role will expand to include building and leading an internal applications team to further mature application ownership, governance, and delivery capabilities.

• Drive rationalization, digital enablement, and measurable ROI.
• Formalize ownership and accountability with business partners.
• Align applications with integration/data strategy.
• Own enterprise applications portfolio and enforce governance.
• Document lifecycle processes and oversee vendors/SLAs.
• Recruit and mentor application analysts.

• Exposure to integration platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure).
• Skilled in lifecycle management and integration principles.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong vendor management and governance experience.
• Experience working with enterprise data strategies (warehouse, lake, blob).
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to engage effectively with business and IT stakeholders.
• Demonstrated project management experience with enterprise applications.
• Experience with SaaS/Cloud applications and vendor-driven support.
• Experience managing enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRIS, MES).
• Previous mentoring or team leadership experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or operations environments.
