  • Communication: Continuous upstream and downstream communication with Customers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Carriers/3PLs (Senior Management) to ensure the execution of Transportation strategies, improve performance, and build strong relationships in support of the business goals and requirements.
  • Take ownership, ensure execution, and continually communicate updates to involved parties proactively.
  • Remain accountable for all defined KPI’s and their trends. Understand drivers and facilitate the related reviews with necessary actions/timelines.
  • Immediately shut down any operation when realized life or serious injury risk is present.
  • Collaborate with Logistics Project Leader and Logistics Project Managers to ensure optimization and execution of daily transportation and shipment planning and adhere of contract requirements.
  • Assist in managing global shipment and customs activities
  • Assist in negotiation of RFQ’s.
  • Ensure orders and shipments are optimized via the TMS and planned for on-time pick up and delivery.
  • Follow EHS rules and ensure team compliance.
  • Accountable for data disconnects between TMS systems and other internal project management systems to ensure synchronization for successful transportation execution and customer reporting.
  • Lead team of Logistic Coordinators to plan and execute outbound global logistics function for HDNU and Aero projects.
  • Develop strong relationship with freight forwarders and carriers to resolve problems/issues.
  • Immediately report incidents and near misses to direct reports and EHS Leader.

  • Time Management, Resource Management, and Persuasion skills needed
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in transportation/supply chain
  • Four-year degree from accredited university or college.
  • Preferred focus in Transportation or Supply Chain.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration with GE Project Leadership, Factory and sourcing leadership. Self-starter and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in multi modal global transportation
  • Working as a global team: Ability to work as part of virtual global team to collaborate across geographic and organizational boundaries to deliver better business results and share best practices across a global system.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Contracts and Agreements: Ability to read, edit and interpret contractual documentation. Knowledge of contract terms, applications and legal requirements, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements. Ability to explain requirements contained in agreements.
  • Data and Analytics: Ability to use data to apply and model business scenarios and analyze resulting cost, impact, risk, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions.
