The General Manager will oversee all facets of the division, including sales, marketing, inventory, installation, safety compliance, and vendor management, while fostering collaboration among internal teams and external partners. They will also lead training programs, digital transformation initiatives, and special projects, and report performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Lead growth, profitability and operational excellence for the Worktools division.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for worktools and attachments; set KPIs for revenue and margin.
- Manage costs, pricing, and manufacturer programs to meet profitability targets.
- Partner with marketing to promote worktools via campaigns, website, store displays, and trade shows.
- Optimize inventory levels, reduce aged stock, and oversee component inventory processes.
- Provide technical support, pricing data and specifications to sales and service teams.
- Conduct ongoing training for customer‑facing and service staff in‑person, online and in the field.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring support for sales, parts, warranty and issue resolution.
- Oversee installation costs, conduct audits and enforce safety and best‑practice standards.
- Lead special projects, assess risk and drive execution after senior approval.
- Drive digital transformation by adopting CRM, Microsoft Dynamics and analytics tools.
- Build strong relationships with Sales and Service Managers across six states through regular visits.
- Deliver performance updates to senior leadership, highlighting growth drivers and corrective actions.
- Mentor and develop a high‑impact team fostering collaboration and accountability.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, have at least three years of heavy‑equipment sales experience, and a proven record of leading teams in a technical or equipment‑focused environment. Strong financial, analytical, and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in CRM and data‑analytics platforms; certifications such as Six Sigma or PMP are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum three years of sales experience in the heavy‑equipment industry, preferably parts and service.
- Proven leadership in sales, operations or product management with supervisory experience.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influence across departments and external partners.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and data‑analytics tools.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma or PMP preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and willingness to travel up to 50% in the first year.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work directly with customers on service opportunities.
- Problem‑solving mindset and ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
