We are seeking a Component Design Engineer to support design and development activities for AE- and F-series military engine core components. The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D and 2D models, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs that meet performance and reliability goals.

  • Collaborate with stress analysis, manufacturing, materials, and quality teams throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Contribute to design validation through analysis correlation and test data interpretation.
  • Support engineering change management, design reviews, and configuration control processes.
  • Create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CATIA V6 in compliance and DoD standards.
  • Design and develop rotating and static components for core engine systems, including compressor, turbine, and bearing structures.
  • Apply GD&T and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to ensure producibility and maintainability.

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

Experience Range: 3–10 Years

  • Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and mechanical design principles.
  • Knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials, coatings, and joining processes.
  • Experience designing aerospace propulsion or turbomachinery components.
  • Exposure to DoD programs and Rolls-Royce design standards.
  • Familiarity with gas turbine engine components and military engine standards.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V6 and Teamcenter for design and data management.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly.
  • B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related discipline).
