As a Support Officer you will work alongside colleagues in supported‑housing and outreach teams to keep families safe from abuse, help them access welfare benefits, assist with debt, provide emotional support and guide them in applying for more permanent housing.
We welcome applicants with housing or support‑sector experience, but also those who demonstrate professionalism, empathy, life experience and a desire to develop their skills. Candidates must be able to travel across the region, be eligible to work in the UK, reside in England or Wales for the duration of employment and pass an Enhanced Adult & Child plus barred list criminal‑record check.
The Support Officer role is based in Canterbury, Kent and covers the areas of Ashford, Folkestone and Maidstone. It is a permanent position with a 36‑hour week and a starting salary of £28,038 rising to £30,194 per annum. The successful candidate will join Clarion’s Kent Domestic Abuse Service, delivering housing and tenancy‑related support to people experiencing domestic abuse.
