Support the growth of RHDHV where appropriate by developing relationships with clients and engaging in business development for new and repeat business
Deliver technically complete and co-ordinated designs to programme deadlines;
Lead progress review meetings on projects;
Provide mentoring to less senior Design Managers;
Lead RFI and design change control processes on projects;
Assist the Project Management team to promote Design Management within the business;
Support the positive culture in order to promote a satisfied Client and ensure repeat business;
Lead value engineering reviews on projects;
Design manage communications upstream to the client, and downstream to the team as appropriate;
Oversee quality and checking processes for designs;
Manage design teams and achieve technically correct and co-ordinated designs on programme, and within agreed budget
Form relationships with clients, internal teams, stakeholders and third-party specialists
Manage and deliver the design output for medium to large complex design projects
Provide design support and aid with problem solving during co-ordination meetings
Assist with the commercial control over design projects;
Design manage documentation to support the delivery of designs (project management plan, programme, RFI register, risk and opportunities register etc.)

Excellent communication skills;
Relevant degree in a design discipline;
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior Design Management role;
Thorough knowledge of the planning and permitting process applied to complex projects
Excellent report writing skills including experience in preparing client presentations.
Understanding of project programming (MS Project/Primavera);
A working knowledge of Revit would be preferable;
The candidate must be able to show a detailed understanding of complex building design and site wide infrastructure involving Civils, Transport, MEP.
Proven experience of running teams in a BIM environment and be able to promote DWOW.
Good design management skills including developing client brief, RACI and deliverables schedules.
Good interpersonal/social skills;
Understanding of 2015 CDM regulations;
Construction experience with evidence of contractor liaison;
Ideally, the candidate will have experience in a relative design discipline whether Architectural, Civil/Structural or Building Services;
