Key duties include staying current with software technology, performing calculations for field crews and mapping, analyzing deeds and research materials for survey production, using FDOT or DRMP checklists on each project, extracting linework and features from point clouds with TopoDot, and demonstrating a willingness to learn.
In this role you will produce CAD deliverables while applying surveying and mapping principles. The ideal candidate has experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, utility design, and point‑cloud scan extraction.
The position requires strong written and verbal communication, extensive technical knowledge of CADD systems such as MicroStation, GeoPak, ORD, Civil 3D, Excel, and Microsoft Office, excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately. Prior FDOT experience is a plus.
