The role involves operating and monitoring aggregate plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient production, performing routine inspections and basic maintenance, and assisting with material handling, loading, and stockpile management. Candidates must work safely, follow established procedures, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. They should be able to operate or learn to operate heavy equipment, work collaboratively in a team environment, and adapt reliably to changing priorities and conditions.
Employment requires a post‑offer physical examination, drug/alcohol screening, and background check, with some positions needing FMCSA‑regulated testing. Work is performed in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, and elevated noise levels. Compensation starts at $26.70 per hour plus $0.50 for second shift, supplemented by union‑provided medical, dental, vision, pension, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
