You’ll work closely with clients, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs), supporting projects from early tender through to formal design approvals. Site visits and occasional legal compliance activities may form part of the role.
- Apply Health & Safety principles in all quotations and designs.
- Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support with design approvals and legal compliance processes when required.
- Conduct site surveys to inform tenders and quotations.
- Evaluate commercial risks and clearly communicate them to senior management.
- Prepare and submit tenders and quotations in line with agreed margins.
- Handover projects in a clear, structured manner to the Project Delivery team.
- Produce compliant electrical designs in accordance with DNO and IDNO standards.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Tendering Engineer to join our team. You’ll play a vital role in developing designs, tenders, and quotations for electrical connection projects, ensuring compliance with DNO/IDNO standards and delivering outstanding service to our clients.
We’re seeking someone with proven experience in electrical design and tendering, particularly in complex projects (large loads, multi-substation, apartments, or private networks).

- Proficiency with Excel and project cost analysis.
- Experience with EV charging connections or 33kV+ projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installations and design standards.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to produce site layouts and electrical designs using CAD.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Professional qualification in electrical installations.
- Experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and construction drawings.
