The Global Category Leader – Indirect will shape and execute global sourcing strategies for indirect spend, overseeing supplier selection, contract negotiations, and CAPEX management. The role works closely with functional leaders across regions to ensure alignment, drive process improvements, and manage supplier performance and recovery.
Acting as a key change agent, the leader will champion transformation initiatives, report on value‑creation plans, and continuously seek cost‑effective solutions while maintaining compliance and minimizing supply‑chain risk. The position requires up to 20 % travel to regional supply bases and INNIO locations.
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for assigned indirect categories.
- Lead CAPEX management for indirect spend to optimize investment and control costs.
- Drive process‑improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Engage and collaborate with cross‑functional and regional stakeholders to secure alignment and buy‑in.
- Formulate and execute negotiation strategies to achieve on‑time delivery, quality standards, and cost savings.
- Conduct supplier segmentation, selection, development, and performance recovery plans.
- Ensure compliance with business requirements and mitigate supply‑chain risks for indirect categories.
- Negotiate long‑term supplier agreements that align with corporate strategy.
- Facilitate innovation and collaboration between the supply base and INNIO business units.
- Own, monitor, and report progress on Value Creation Plan initiatives for indirect categories.

- Possess 8 + years of strategic sourcing experience in a global organization.
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in CAPEX management, process improvement, and 3PL warehouse management.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder‑engagement abilities with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; Oracle ERP experience a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 20 % of the time.
