The Buyer will manage purchase orders, drive material cost savings through negotiations, monitor supply chain activity to prevent shortages, and work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues. They will also maintain accurate purchasing data, communicate with project managers and field service representatives, build strong supplier relationships, and use procurement tools to analyze and improve supplier performance.
Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, have at least two years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or service environment, and possess strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills. A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset, the ability to work independently, and proficiency in SMS, Avetta, SAP, and Microsoft Office are required. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% (mainly to the U.S.) and, for Quebec‑based applicants, have functional French.
The compensation range for this full‑time role is CAD 64,000‑96,000, including base pay and short‑term incentive, with pay determined by performance, skills, experience, and education.
