Key aspects of the role are to build and develop the project team, manage relationships with the Client and stakeholders, and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the project in terms of cost, value, schedule, safety, quality, environment & stakeholders. You will strive to maximise profit whilst endeavouring to exceed all client expectations.
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our London & North region who will be responsible for leading and managing a project delivery team.
- Maintain a clear management structure
- Organise time and prioritise actions to be visible and present where needed e.g. possession weekends/supplier events/safety breakfasts.
- Management of designers, including direction for the design manager
- Develop individuals through coaching and training
- Set up project systems and review.
- Ensure company procedures are being maintained by internal review.

- Ensure individuals are aware of what is expected of them and assign individual responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
- Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
- Develop plans to achieve specific goals.
- Ensure appropriate quality is achieved on the project.
- Ensure materials, plant and sub-contractors are procured to meet targets.
- Providing regular, accurate, consolidated reports and forecasts for the project to the regional executive team.
- Review Health & Safety and investigate incidents, providing summary and recommendations.
- Mitigate legal issues and defects liability for the business.
- Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
- Decide on solutions to major issues and challenges.
- Report on progress, problems and information requirements.
- Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
- Ensure project documents are complete.
- Managing the finances (revenue, costs, and cash flow) of the project.
- Ensure that the works are undertaken in accordance with all HS&E legislation, and the site Health & Safety and Environmental Plans.
- Manage aspirations of client & end users.
- Production of information required schedules & subsequent monitoring
- Resolve queries and complaints.
- Develop relationships for the future winning work.
- Ensure dissemination of information to relevant parties
- Identify where cost and value can be managed for the overall betterment of the project.
- Managing operational communications and relationships with customers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders for the project.
- Maintain & develop overall strategy for the project.
- Review project plans with Contracts Manager on Monthly basis.
- Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule.

- Build working relationships with peers and colleagues in VINCI. Willing to foster knowledge sharing, learning and development, collaboration across projects and sectors
- Understands VINCI corporate strategy and priorities, and the relationship of the project and its team to them.
- Relevant qualifications – degree level, or equivalent experience.
- You’ll have significant experience in leading on mid to large construction projects with a Tier 1 Main Contractor in the UK from pre-construction through delivery to handover.
- Demonstrable experience of managing project budgets and programmes.
- Understand contract mechanisms, and contemporary cost and programme data, and communicate the project financial and contractual position through written reports and in CVR meetings.
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Membership of a Professional Body desirable.
- Expert knowledge of delivery under NEC and JCT contract conditions.
- IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email as well as experience of using ASTA Power Project or Microsoft Project.
