Ensure compliance with site, global and industry I&C standards, including ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, and NFPA standards.
Support project construction, commissioning and start-up as well as client site turnaround activities as required.
Prepare material requisitions for bid and technical bid evaluation, including reviewing of specifications of equipment, and responding to vendor submittals.
Participate in HAZOP and LOPA reviews under guidance of more experienced engineering staff when required.
Manage budgets and schedules.
Coordinate with vendors and clients.
Maintain schedule and budget commitments.
Candidates will be required to follow our clients' site-based rules and protocols regarding infectious diseases.
Support assembly of I&C engineering, drawing and construction work packages for review and approval.
While performing duties of this job, you would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear (this includes being able to hear and talk on site based communication equipment), distinguish between various colors, be able to hear safety tones/notifications, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, temperature or controls.
Attend and participate in Client and Eichleay project team meetings.
Respond to construction requests for information (RFIs).
Consistently achieve goals, delivering quality and accurate work and meeting project schedules. This includes reviewing project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
Perform scope development and create technical specifications for I&C equipment and modifications.

Experience with instrument specification and data sheet creation.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Bluebeam.
Familiarity with ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, and NFPA standards.
Experience working onsite at a refinery or similar industrial facility.
Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental issues. Address issues as necessary to ensure zero harm to all employees, clients, and contractors with zero environmental incidents.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with the selection, and sizing of various field instrumentation, analyzer systems, flow measurement devices, control valves, and PSVs in industrial applications independently and with guidance from more experienced engineering staff.
Familiarity with instrument sizing and selection including flow meter, thermowells, and control valves.
Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.
Experience with Smart Instrumentation (SI) / Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) including basic loop creation, spec sheet (datasheet) creation and basic loop wiring.
Experience with vendor instrument sizing programs, including Emerson and ASME PTC 19.3TW-2016 and InstruCalc Sizing software is desired.
TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain.
Participation in random drug and alcohol programs.
RSO Safety Training and current card or ability to obtain.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.
Ability to provide man hour estimates to support proposals and material quantity takeoffs for cost estimates.
Familiarity with calculations and understanding of safety instrumented systems (SIS) design with guidance from SIS subject matter specialists.
Ability to coordinate with other disciplines and project management in a team environment.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
