The PLC Technician will perform advanced facility Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) work across manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of PLCs, as well as maintaining all plant electrical systems, electronics, motors, drives, and other power transmission equipment. This role also requires performing mechanical and electrical tasks to support plant operations.

  • Program, troubleshoot, and specify motor drives.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
  • Analyze machinery for automation implementation and improvements.
  • Maintain and service plant switchgear.
  • Design and assemble control circuits, cabinets, and user interfaces.
  • Identify when job scope exceeds current skill set and escalate as needed.
  • Perform diagnostics, repair, and installation of plant electrical/electronic systems.
  • Repair and maintain PLC circuits and control systems.
  • Keep detailed logs of equipment inventory, changes, and throughput.

  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent technical training.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC fundamentals, programming, and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of hands-on electronics/PLC experience.
