Participate in safety training programs and meetings.
Ensure that all field service activities are carried out in accordance with all safety guidelines and company policies.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
Perform basic tests on transformer & circuit breakers. i.e. Insulation Resistance, Contact Resistance, Core Ground, Oil Sampling, and/or Ratio tests

Assist with grounding – knowledge of clearance, LOTO, etc.
Must be able to crawl, climb, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations in high voltage substations.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays, and nights for this position.
Must possess a current and valid driver’s license, and have a good driving record for this position.
Knowledge of electrical theory and ability to communicate transformer operations.
Must be able to pass a fit for duty exam for this position.
Ability to learn the practices and procedures of the industry.
Ability to learn to read and interpret electrical diagrams and prints.
Some knowledge of the fundamentals and principles of electricity preferred.
Read & understand a drawings and diagrams.
Ability to learn to read and interpret a variety of power generation and distribution metering and recording devices.
Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions required in working in a power distribution facility preferred.
Must be available for regular overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel related to high voltage substation work.
High School diploma or GED. Supplemental courses in electrical maintenance are highly desired for this position.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
NCCO Crane Certification
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Able and willing to travel up to 75% as needed for high voltage substation work.
