We are seeking a Regional Director to lead our Project Management consultancy team for the North of England, overseeing a range of Project Managers, Directors and Associates. The role is market‑facing, driving business development with public sector clients such as healthcare, education and defence, as well as private developers, while ensuring technical delivery and client relationship management.
Supported by the Director of Project and Cost Management for the North of England & Scotland, you will work with a passionate team that values innovation and cutting‑edge solutions. Responsibilities include leadership of the practice, line management, recruitment, financial oversight, training, chartership support, and delivery of complex, high‑profile projects.
- Provide leadership within the project management practice
- Undertake line management, motivate and mentor team members
- Drive recruitment and retention of staff
- Manage project finances, resourcing, audits and reviews for the portfolio
- Ensure staff training and support professional chartership
- Lead client account relationships and frameworks
- Lead cross‑discipline commissions and ensure successful delivery
- Progress business development and cross‑sell services
- Lead bid and fee proposals through internal governance

- Minimum public and private sector experience
- Extensive construction consultancy project management experience
- Proven leadership in a project management business
- Track record of winning new work and repeat business
- Experience delivering complex, high‑profile projects
- Expertise in pre‑ and post‑contract services (feasibility, cost planning, tender documents)
- Strong client relationships and professional network
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Construction‑related degree and chartered status (RICS, CIOB or APM); NEC4 accreditation preferred
