Technical oversight: managing the traffic signal and control design process planning, analyzing, and correlating traffic impact studies to recognize discrepancies in results and identifying the possible solutions and risk associated with them.
Mentoring and developing the Traffic team to further our success in the industry: this includes not only civil engineering and technical training but empowering those teammates to find their passion and skills in our industry and translating that to continued career success.
Administrative oversight: using Key Performance indicators, this includes developing, communicating, and tracking workflow tasks, scheduling, championing GPD’s quality assurance and client standards, and ensuring that project documents are consistent with project plans and within scope and budget.
Project Management in our Traffic group provides the opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders and in a wide variety of services that encompass our discipline in the development of traffic design and planning projects: this includes survey, environmental assessment, geotechnical, roadway and bridge disciplines.

10+ years
10+ years of experience in Traffic Engineering in Pennsylvania.
Well versed in PennDOT and Local public agency specifications and contract management.
Thrives in a collaborative project environment and enjoys all forms of communications while working with clients and team members (virtual, in-person, phone).
Enjoys developing and nurturing strong client and sub consultant relationships in western Pennsylvania area related to Traffic Engineering.
Professional Engineer registration in the State of Pennsylvania with the ability to obtain an Ohio PE within 6 months.
Proficient in the use of Highway Capacity Software (HCS) and Synchro/SimTraffic.
Experience with Transmodeler, AutoCAD and Microstation a plus.
PTOE / PTP / RSP or AICP Certification a plus.
Proficient understanding of Safety Studies, Interchange Studies, and Corridor Studies.
Experience with Maintenance and Protection of Traffic design.
Extensive experience developing and overseeing project scope, schedule, and fees for new projects and additional scope/services requested by clients that yield successful projects for clients and the Company.
Enjoys taking on a leadership role not only as a technical expert in our field but as a servant leader in the community and within the company.
Experience mentoring and empowering engineers newer in their career.
High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
Extensive experience with Traffic Signal and Traffic Control Design and Plan Preparation.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
