Professional Engineer - Roadway

Description

• Design and analyze freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared‑use trails.
• Prepare studies, reports, memos, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Lead the roadway design discipline under a Project Manager and coordinate other design disciplines.
• Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub‑consultant management.
• Own projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Interface with coworkers to achieve shared success.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license in the state of employment or ability to obtain within one year.
• 5–10 years of roadway transportation engineering experience.
• Experience on multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria.
• Proficiency with Bentley and/or Autodesk civil design software.
• Knowledge of DOT standards and plan preparation procedures.
• Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience (a plus).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

The Professional Engineer - Roadway position is in the Transportation Department, full‑time, based in Las Vegas, NV, reporting to Dustin Richins, with a compensation range of $105,000 to $150,000 per year.
