AutoCAD Drafter

Description

• Ensure designs and permit packages comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NESC).
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and permitting authorities as needed.
• Prepare and submit permit applications and support documentation to local, state, and other regulatory agencies.
• Utilize AutoCAD Map 3D and GIS formats to produce construction-ready prints.
• Assemble and manage complete permit submittal packages.
• Draft Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) designs using AutoCAD-generated maps.
• Perform additional drafting and project-related tasks as assigned.
• Collect and incorporate as-built data, field notes, survey data, and aerial imagery into project drawings.

Requirements

• Experience interpreting and drafting telecommunication network plans.
• Knowledge of GIS systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with NESC standards and permitting processes.
• Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in telecom or utility-related fields.
• Proficiency in creating plans and profile drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Associate degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Previous work experience with telecom, construction, utility, or engineering firms.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
