Building Manager

Description

• Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, delivering a responsive and professional service.
• Manage building access control, security systems, and emergency procedures.
• Lead and support on-site staff, providing direction, training, and performance management where necessary.
• Prepare reports for senior management and contribute to long-term asset planning.
• Manage service contracts and coordinate external contractors and suppliers.
• Develop and manage annual operational budgets; monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and respond promptly to emergency repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, health & safety requirements, and building codes.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee all aspects of building operations, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and tenant services.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a flagship commercial property in the heart of the city. This role is responsible for ensuring the building operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of service for tenants and visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on approach to managing building operations.

• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance processes, and compliance requirements.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, IWFM) are highly desirable.
• Ability to manage budgets, service agreements, and multiple concurrent tasks.
• Proven experience as a Building Manager, or similar role within commercial real estate.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
