Land Surveyor – Project Manager

Description

• Plan, initiate, execute, supervise and deliver diverse survey projects.
• Lead survey teams, communicating scope and schedule information.
• Provide guidance, training and mentorship to team members.
• Prepare proposals and contracts for survey work.
• Coordinate with other Survey Project Managers to schedule and review field and office activities.
• Maintain accurate records documenting performed work.
• Manage project billings, expenses and receivables.
• Address and resolve project issues promptly.
• Liaise with internal and external Project Managers and clients.
• Develop strong client relationships and participate in business development activities.
• Manage client expectations and ensure deliverables, schedules, objectives and budgets are met.
• Provide required information to senior management.

Requirements

The Land Surveyor – Project Manager oversees a variety of surveying projects, including land development, strata/air‑space, topographic, rights‑of‑way, infrastructure, construction, monitoring and First Nation surveys. The role carries legal responsibility for accurate, timely deliverables and requires strong communication, self‑motivation and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. It is ideal for a professional who thrives on challenge and enjoys leading teams.

• Minimum 5 years BC Land Surveyor experience in good standing with the Association of BC Land Surveyors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple survey projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations.
• Extensive legal survey experience, especially in airspace and strata surveys (asset).
• Engineering survey experience including high‑precision control surveys (conventional/GNSS) and deformation monitoring (asset).
• Diploma or degree in Geomatics (asset).
• Strong communication, collaboration and leadership abilities.
• Valid BC driver’s licence.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skillsets and qualifications. Compensation reflects the seniority and expertise required for the role.
