- Conduct visual inspections to identify potential air leakage areas such as gaps, cracks and openings in building envelopes
- Perform blower door tests on residential and commercial buildings to determine air leakage rates
- Set up and calibrate blower door equipment according to industry standards
- Uphold safety protocols and practices while working on job sites
- Measure and record airflow rates using precision instruments
- Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for improving building performance
- Provide training and guidance to other team members as needed
- Collaborate with the team to implement air sealing measures and energy efficiency upgrades

- Familiarity with building codes, energy efficiency standards, and indoor air quality guidelines
- Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, handling tools, and operating equipment.
- Ability to speak and hear effectively to communicate in noisy environments and with project teams.

- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and/or carry 35 to 75 lbs. up to 75 feet, involving regular repetitive motion.
- Proven experience as Blower Door Technician or similar role in the construction or energy industry
- Moderate to loud noise levels, common in active construction and industrial environments.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, pull, kneel, climb, balance, lift, carry, and push as required for fieldwork and inspections.
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification)
- Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, input data and prepare reports
- Strong knowledge of blower door testing procedures, equipment, and data analysis techniques
- Ability to use your senses to see (including close, distant, and peripheral vison, depth vision, and ability to focus) smell, hear, touch (use hands to reach climb or balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit).
- Exposure to environmental elements including dirt, dust, sun, heat, humidity, and adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to work comfortably in various indoor and outdoor environments
- Sites that may not be accessible by vehicle, requiring travel on foot through wetlands, swamps, grasslands, fields, and other uneven or rugged terrain with natural and man-made obstacles such as sand, brush, and debris.
