Illuminate USA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager to lead the direct sourcing strategy for our Bill of Materials (BOM) category. This critical procurement role develops and manages strategic supplier partnerships to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and high quality. The Category Manager collaborates with engineering, quality, and cross‑functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and meet delivery targets.
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years of strategic procurement experience in solar, EMS, semiconductors, energy storage, or contract manufacturing is required. Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment, strong supplier management, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and risk mitigation skills are essential. Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and cross‑functional collaboration abilities are also expected.
