Description

Key responsibilities include performing mechanical and aesthetic reconditioning of equipment, identifying and sourcing necessary parts, documenting repairs on work orders, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. The role also requires routine daily and preventative maintenance tasks.

• Perform mechanical reconditioning and routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Identify required parts and document repairs on work orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area at job sites.
• Complete background check, motor vehicle record check, DOT drug screen, physical, and paid orientation.

Requirements

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record and be able to obtain a DOT medical card. Preferred qualifications include welding experience, prior mechanical work, and diesel engine repair background.

The hiring process involves a background check, motor vehicle record check, DOT 5‑panel drug screen, fit‑for‑duty physical, and paid orientation, supported by a strong team throughout the employee’s career with Summit Materials companies.

• Travel to worksites in Idaho Springs, Fraser, and Silverthorne, CO.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR and obtain a DOT medical card.
• Possess welding, mechanic, and diesel engine repair experience (preferred).
