The technician will initially focus on production‑related EHS needs and later support the broader site EHS department. The position emphasizes building a zero‑incident safety culture and implementing the MESH management system to drive environmental, safety, security, and health improvements.
- Promote zero‑incident safety culture through targeted projects.
- Implement and leverage MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security & Health) tools.
- Perform EHS data analysis, reporting, and training support.
- Track leading and lagging EHS performance indicators.
- Facilitate EHS team and committee engagement to meet yearly goals.
- Lead MESH Management of Change (MOC) process and mentor engineering staff.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and implement work‑design improvements.
- Investigate accidents/near‑misses, conduct root‑cause analysis, and lead 8D corrective actions.
- Coordinate OSHA‑related training programs (PPE, forklift, first aid, machine safety, etc.).
- Compile MESH data for safety database, corrective‑action tracking, and risk assessments.
- Support ZWaD certification and water‑reduction initiatives with cross‑functional teams.
- Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and provide first aid.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Manage safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement of EHS processes.
