The position supports geotechnical projects by assisting with lab testing, drafting boring logs and location diagrams, scheduling drill rigs, obtaining utility clearances, preparing drilling instructions, performing boring and test pit layouts using conventional surveying and GPS, classifying soil samples, hand augering, and observing foundation or ground improvement installations.
The ideal candidate is actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field, shows interest in structural support with a creative mindset, can provide their own transportation for job sites with mileage reimbursed, and can repeatedly lift 40–70 lb or occasionally lift up to 85 lb to waist height.
