Under general supervision, the welder fabricates or repairs compactors, containers, and carts using a range of welding processes.
The role includes performing minor repairs, preventive maintenance, diagnostic and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems, conducting safety checks, completing paperwork in fleet maintenance software, and assisting senior welders with project work.
Additional duties involve flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching metal and plastic parts, working from prints, drawings or verbal instructions, setting up dimensions and tolerances, using standard hand tools and measuring devices, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Perform minor repairs and apply arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on various materials.
- Repair and maintain compactors, containers, and carts, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, safety checks, and service calls.
- Document repairs using fleet maintenance software, tracking parts usage and repair times.
- Assist senior welders and execute flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts.
- Follow standard repair times, work from drawings or verbal instructions, and set up dimensions and tolerances using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area adhering to corporate and OSHA standards.

Benefits
The position works Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with a base pay of $25 per hour.
