As a Principal Process Engineer you will influence the entire lifecycle of water‑treatment projects – from concept design through commissioning – ensuring process solutions are efficient, safe and compliant. You will collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams, engage directly with the client, and help develop the wider process‑engineering capability within the business.
- Lead and oversee design, planning, and execution of process engineering on projects.
- Provide design support and ensure schemes meet legislation and standards.
- Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical, and safe solutions.
- Engage positively with clients, managing relationships through a one‑team approach.
- Manage interfaces and integration of process design with other disciplines and produce documentation.
- Act as technical checker on project documents and conduct technical reviews across teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery, including standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools.
- Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems.
- Support development of the process engineering team by coaching, mentoring, and allocating resources.
- Participation in Advanced Employee Networks for LGBTQ+, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, and parents/carers.

- Degree in Process Engineering or related field.
- Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience delivering high‑quality outputs in line with design, quality, and safety standards.
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
