  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, offering ongoing advice and monitoring to the Construction Team.
  • Participate in civil tendering for large-scale projects, from initial inquiry through to submission.
  • Identify, analyse, and report on commercial trends across projects and the business.
  • Manage and forecast project turnover and cash flow to ensure healthy financial performance.
  • Ensure the Construction Team adheres to all contractual requirements.
  • Review and manage subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Advise senior management on bid prospects and tender strategies.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders throughout the tender process.
  • Assemble and evaluate subcontractor quotations, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and report potential commercial risks in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly progress applications, including accurate measures, site variations, dayworks, and claims.
  • Review incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Teams, and Subcontractors to identify contractually critical items and initiate appropriate responses.
  • Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting for all projects.
  • Attend pre- and post-tender interviews and client meetings as required.
  • Support operational procurement activities and provide contract support, working closely with the Procurement Department.
  • Complete accurate take-offs from tender drawings.

  • Experience in High Voltage Substations, Transmission & Distribution projects or any Utility projects an advantage
  • Previous Civil Estimating and Quantity Surveyor experience essential.
  • Relevant third level qualification essential in Quantity Surveying/ Construction Economics and or relevant Civil Engineering discipline
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience post qualification essential
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
