Senior Technician - Structures

Description

The Senior BIM Technician role is based in Dubai within the Structures team, responsible for implementing BIM processes, managing model health, coordinating multidisciplinary models, and supporting drawing production throughout project stages.

• Build BIM models following the BIM Execution Plan and project standards.
• Lead BIM implementation from concept through handover.
• Produce 2D deliverables (plans, sections, elevations, details) from the model.
• Maintain and update discipline‑specific BIM models and ensure clash‑free coordination.
• Conduct regular model audits and quality reviews using tools such as Revit Warnings and Model Checker.
• Coordinate with design teams to accurately capture design intent and correct drawing scales, templates, and title blocks.
• Support sheet creation, annotation workflows, and print reviews prior to submission.
• Perform model checks to ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and project BIM standards.
• Oversee junior technicians and provide guidance on BIM best practices.
• Set up project CDE, design models, and integrate interoperability between Revit and other discipline software.

Requirements

• Automate workflows using Dynamo and Grasshopper; proficient in Rhino and Revizto.
