Alpha Inc. is seeking Heavy Civil Laborers in Kona, Hawaiʻi for full‑time, non‑exempt positions supporting major water and civil infrastructure projects. The role is field‑forward, requiring physical capability, situational awareness, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Heavy Civil Laborers will support civil construction and underground utility operations under a foreman's direction, performing tasks such as material handling, trench work, utility installation, site cleanup, equipment operation, traffic flagging, and clear crew communication.
More experienced laborers may assist with pipe alignment, support equipment operators, and work independently on routine tasks, directly impacting project success.
Successful candidates must have foundational civil construction experience or a willingness to learn, be able to lift up to 100 lb, work outdoors in varying weather, demonstrate reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and possess clear communication skills; a valid driver’s license is preferred.
Preferred qualifications include three or more years of underground utility experience, ability to read blueprints, proficiency with pipe lasers and specialized tools, OSHA‑10 certification, and the ability to mentor junior laborers.
