- Ensure all designs and installations comply with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Design public health systems for water supply, drainage, rainwater harvesting, and waste management for buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical support to resolve issues during design, installation, and maintenance phases.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory approvals and inspections.
- Develop engineering calculations and drawings, specifications, using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Incorporate sustainable solutions such as water-saving technologies, greywater recycling, and energy-efficient systems into designs.
- Implement innovative technologies to enhance system efficiency and environmental performance.
- Promotion of the importance of health and well-being of the team, including team building fitness activities, social events and the provision of a healthy work environment
- Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations to ensure project quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during the design phase to ensure proper co-ordination of systems.
- Collaborate with seniors and internal teams to integrate public health systems into overall project designs.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and environmental sustainability requirements.

- Knowledge of international and local codes/standards such as BS EN, CIBSE, NFPA, IOP, IPC, UPC, IGBC, ASHRAE, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, IFGC, ADM, and other authority regulations.
- Awareness of sustainability frameworks such as LEED, WELL, and Estidama; certification in green building systems is a plus.
- Highly collaborative approach across the different technical service offerings
- 2+ years of experience in Public Health Engineering with hands-on involvement in design and installation of systems.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design/drafting software for accurate production of design deliverables.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing authority submissions for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and KSA projects, but not limited to these regions.
- Skilled in preparing design calculations, drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
- Bachelors degree in mechanical / Building services engineering or a related field (Masters degree in Engineering is an added advantage).
- Familiar with hydraulic modelling and analysis software for system sizing and performance checks.
