  • Position Siemens Mobility as a trusted partner to customers, partners, and stakeholders in the U.S. and Canadian rail markets.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Act as the escalation point for customers and partners beyond country boundaries - and for countries into HQ.
  • Ensure compliance with all external (i.e. labor, safety, environmental) and Siemens-internal regulations across the region.
  • Build trusted relationships with operators, governmental stakeholders, and strategic partners.
  • Identify growth opportunities (rolling stock, signaling, services, digital solutions) and drive innovation in line with customer and market needs.
  • Represent the North American business within the global leadership team, ensuring regional priorities are heard and addressed.
  • Own the full business lifecycle - from opportunity identification to delivery -across the region.
  • Engaging and inclusive communicator building trust with customers, regulators, unions, and headquarters while fostering a culture of safety, sustainability, and diversity.
  • Oversee the successful ramp-up of new factories and facilities, delivered on time, on budget, and integrated into the regional network.
  • Conduct operational performance reviews with local management teams and engage in strategic reviews with the SMO Management Board.
  • Define and implement the regional strategy in alignment with HQ, translating global ambitions into local impact.
  • Foster business within the region. Work closely with the SMO Business Units to grow the business and ensure operational execution. Receive targets from BUs and set country-level goals that reflect both ambition and accountability.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse leadership team across business units, manufacturing, and support functions.
  • Drive cost competitiveness: reduce NCCs, improve productivity, and streamline supply chain performance.
  • Champion a strong sales mentality, especially in tender business.
  • Lead several large-scale manufacturing sites and service depots, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and quality.
