Participate actively as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member for building safety protocols
Execute minor HVAC maintenance and repairs including troubleshooting, filter replacements, belt and valve adjustments, water treatment and small pump maintenance
Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all maintenance activities and equipment performance
Respond promptly to site work orders and service requests in a timely fashion
Perform morning start-up procedures for HVAC equipment and various R&D equipment including fume hoods, exhaust fans, solvent pumps, reverse osmosis water system, compressed gas cylinder compound and unit air conditioners
Monitor and operate Building Automation Systems (BAS) to ensure optimal facility performance
Conduct daily building rounds to monitor Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and HVAC equipment performance

Additional certifications in refrigeration or HVAC specializations
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) operation and monitoring

Familiarity with environmental health and safety protocols
4th-Class Engineer or BES Certificate required
Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks and work in various building environments
Experience with R&D facility operations and specialized equipment
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and troubleshooting procedures
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
Emergency response training or first aid certification
Basic electrical and plumbing repair capabilities
