Finance Business Partner

Description

The Finance Business Partner (FBP) serves as the conduit between Regional Business Units and Finance, delivering centralized financial support to drive business performance. The FBP manages profitability of regions or projects, partners with leadership to meet budget targets, drive KPIs, and identify financial risks and opportunities. This role leads budgeting and forecasting processes, supports the company's strategy and improves shareholder returns, reporting to the Director of FP&A.

• Translate complex financial data into business terms and deliver actionable insights
• Provide financial forecasting, variance analysis, scenario modeling, and monthly/quarterly reporting for regional operations
• Serve as a key financial advisor on the business unit leadership team
• Analyze regional performance, identify trends, and recommend actions
• Enhance financial literacy and business analysis skills of supported teams
• Lead process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and forecast accuracy
• Evaluate staffing plans to meet utilization targets
• Attend regional leadership meetings and assess financial risks and opportunities
• Own and optimize regional budgeting and forecasting aligned with strategic goals
• Liaise between regional teams and Finance, leading month‑end review meetings
• Support new business pipeline and commercial strategies with financial analysis
• Assist Cost Control Manager in project estimate reviews and scenario modeling
• Provide ad‑hoc financial modeling for CFO and Executive Leadership Team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• 5‑10 years of FP&A experience, preferably in engineering, architecture or construction services
• Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, VBA or other coding a plus
• Agile thinker capable of thriving in a fast‑moving environment
• Strong communication and influencing skills with senior leaders
• Ability to build relationships, lead difficult conversations with integrity, and translate finance concepts for non‑finance audiences
• Willingness to travel as needed
