Support Business Unit Managers by undertaking quality investigations upon request.
Conduct audits and report on compliance to Quality policies and procedures in line with the Austal Internal Audit Scheule.
Document quality issues and performance measures for management review.
Assist with implementation of Non-Conformance trend analysis and develop QA Alerts as required.
Assist in the maintenance and deployment of QMS documentation.
The role of the QA Advisor includes the following activities to support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the deployed Quality Management System (QMS):

Well-developed level of communication skills in both written and spoken format.
Diploma or recognised equivalency certification in Quality Assurance, Lean Management, Engineering or Project Management.
Strong numeracy skills.
Previous experience working within a manufacturing, supply chain or project management environment.
Developing analytical, problems solving skills and systematic thinking.
Previous industry experience working in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control role.
Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001, and of working within Quality Management systems as they apply to shipbuilding, defence, oil & gas, supply chain and/or manufacturing.
Internal auditor training.
Well-developed planning and organisational skills.
