Quality Assurance Advisor

Description

• Support Business Unit Managers by undertaking quality investigations upon request.
• Conduct audits and report on compliance to Quality policies and procedures in line with the Austal Internal Audit Scheule.
• Document quality issues and performance measures for management review.
• Assist with implementation of Non-Conformance trend analysis and develop QA Alerts as required.
• Assist in the maintenance and deployment of QMS documentation.
• The role of the QA Advisor includes the following activities to support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the deployed Quality Management System (QMS):
• Develop corrective actions from root cause analysis activities.

Requirements

• Well-developed level of communication skills in both written and spoken format.
• Diploma or recognised equivalency certification in Quality Assurance, Lean Management, Engineering or Project Management.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing, supply chain or project management environment.
• Developing analytical, problems solving skills and systematic thinking.
• Previous industry experience working in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001, and of working within Quality Management systems as they apply to shipbuilding, defence, oil & gas, supply chain and/or manufacturing.
• Internal auditor training.
• Well-developed planning and organisational skills.
