Description

The Scale House Operator serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at a WM facility, calculates payments, checks loads, and ensures safety by following safety rules and regulations.

• Greet customers, direct traffic, and answer questions accurately.
• Calculate payments correctly for customers.
• Verify incoming garbage loads are safe and free of inappropriate material.
• Ensure customers and employees wear required PPE and conduct business safely.
• Perform general upkeep of the Scale House.
• Complete administrative tasks, including filing and required reports.
• Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems or matters requiring attention.
• Attend company‑sponsored training and meetings as directed.
• Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
