Fabrication Machinist

Description

• Keep work area, tools, and equipment organized and in working order
• Assist in CNC areas’ operational activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables
• Perform material handling tasks associated with working in a production-type environment
• Execute defined quality and maintenance checks, and participate in minor equipment maintenance as
• Maintain CNC machine, area and other tools in good condition by performing 5s and TPM activities on a regular basis
• Assist in debugging operating or programming problems with high laser cut quality parts
• Follow standard processes to build and produce standard and custom products to defined
• Perform product modifications and product packaging to PBL (Project Business Logistics) specifications
• Operate laser cutting Tubelaser 3000
• Maintain active equipment spare parts inventory
• Actively engage and contribute to department continuous improvement activities
• Package and stage completed product for shipment

Requirements

• Forklift certification, required; training provided once hired if needed
• Work and be familiar with measuring tools, e.g., callipers, tape measures, protractors, etc.
• Basic computer skills, required; SAP experience, preferred
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude, required
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, read and convert between decimals and fractions, and use basic
• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions and drawings
