The Foreman will lead and execute physical labor tasks. Responsibilities include supervising the construction crew, managing worksite safety, and ensuring that tasks are executed to the highest quality standards under the direction of the Site Supervisor.

  • Execute tasks such as rough framing, drywall installation, painting, sanding, waterproofing, and concrete finishing.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and trades for efficient task completion
  • establish a successful culture from the inside out.
  • Communicate site challenges to the Site Supervisor and propose solutions
  • Supervise and guide construction crews, ensuring quality work is completed on schedule
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure all team members follow site safety practices
  • Wear and enforce the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Assist with demolition and material handling.
  • Assemble scaffolding, shoring, and braces as needed.
  • Report hazards or safety concerns promptly to the Site Supervisor
  • Prep construction sites by clearing hazards and setting up tools and materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times

  • Good to have prior experience working on historical building renovations or luxury hotel properties (e.g., 5-star hotels)

  • Knowledgeable in construction safety protocols and experienced in identifying potential hazards.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction, focusing on interior renovations.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and work orders.
  • Hands-on experience with framing, drywall installation, flooring, tiles, carpentry, and finishing.
  • First Aid Training
  • Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks requiring strength, stamina, and focus
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with coworkers and subcontractors
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with proven ability to supervise crews and coordinate tasks effectively
  • Must have: Basic Health & Safety certifications as per Alberta construction requirements.
