Senior Engineer - Bridges

Description

The centre integrates design, BIM, and drawing production in a seamless workflow using multiple software platforms. Technical and management staff collaborate with other SYSTRA teams in Paris, Poland, Dubai, the Philippines, and Brazil.

• Design rail and road bridges, viaducts, and related structures.
• Create steel structure and bridge designs with detailed joint specifications.
• Prepare reports and calculations following Network Rail standards.
• Lead a team of 4‑5 junior engineers or draftsmen.
• Plan and execute bridge surveys and inspections, documenting all relevant data.
• Perform bridge assessment calculations and produce comprehensive reports.
• Manage project delivery, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Prepare work item estimates and identify scope change items.
• Oversee project‑level resource utilization to maintain productivity.
• Ensure adherence to SYSTRA Group policies, ethics, safety, and ISO standards.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary design teams.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Hold a BE in Civil Engineering and an M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
• Possess 5‑10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with Sofistik, Midas, and Oasys software.
• Actively pursuing professional engineering qualification.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices as required.
