3D Machine Control Specialist

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal functionality.
• Maintain and update machine control software and hardware as needed.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain machine control systems to ensure accuracy.
• Document and report system performance, issues, and resolutions.
• Convert and upload design files into machine control platforms.
• Deliver training and ongoing support to plant operators on 3D machine control usage.
• Operate and manage 3D machine control systems on heavy plant equipment.
• Assist in the creation of 3D models and design files for machine control applications.
• Collaborate closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure accurate execution of designs.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated 3D Machine Control Specialist to join our team at HS2, bringing expertise in heavy plant operations and advanced machine control systems. This role is key to ensuring precision and efficiency across our earthworks and construction projects.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
• Membership with an accredited professional body.
• Experience working with multiple machine control systems and software.
• Strong understanding of construction and earthworks processes.
• Degree or certification in surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and support others.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
• Proven experience operating 3D machine control systems on heavy plant equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in platforms such as Trimble, Topcon, or Leica.
