Associate Director, Project Controls, Infrastructure

Description

The role is aimed at project professionals who have worked on major capital programmes or large portfolios in infrastructure, real estate, energy, natural resources or defence sectors. You will help clients transform their project‑programme‑portfolio management (P3M) approach by implementing digital solutions that maximise outcomes and investment returns.

We are hiring consultants, senior consultants and principal consultants who can support digital transformations through the integration of applications and data to strengthen project management and controls. The position involves working on diverse, multi‑disciplinary teams both on‑site and virtually, and contributing to business development activities.

• Assess current challenges and determine client requirements
• Implement or refine P3M methodologies, processes, data structures, tools and systems
• Direct technology suppliers and lead digital implementation teams
• Embed changes in client enterprises through stakeholder engagement and business readiness
• Continuously improve advisory services
• Produce documents, deliverables and reports to support findings and recommendations
• Work within diverse, multi‑disciplinary teams at client sites and virtually
• Participate in business generation activities such as bids and proposals
• Support marketing and social media campaigns (employee advocacy)
• Define or refine project structures to integrate asset information, work, resource, schedule, cost and risk
• Translate client methodologies into supply‑chain requirements and contract scope
• Specify or implement project controls or P3M technology
• Build strong, professional internal and client relationships

Requirements

• Graduate calibre with relevant industry experience
• Experience establishing or transforming project ways of working across P3M disciplines
• Experience with major capital programmes or large portfolios
• Familiarity with core project controls functions (scope, schedule, cost, risk, performance reporting)
• Experience establishing business capability or managing change
• APM, PMI or similar certification (advantageous)
• Possess an analytical mindset
• Express ideas with clarity and focus on key points
• Listen effectively to understand wider issues and impacts
