Continuous Improvement Manager

Description

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by training and mentoring employees.
• Partner with quality and production teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects or inconsistencies.
• Analyze production workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce cycle times.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC principles to optimize plant performance.
• Implement and maintain SPC methodologies to monitor and improve process capability.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and add cost savings.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for safety, productivity, and quality.
• Communicate progress and project outcomes to leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Lead continuous improvement events and cross-functional activities to engage employees in problem-solving.
• Lead 6S implementation and sustainment across production and office environments.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and other teams to streamline operational processes.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process stability, defect reduction, and efficiency gains.
• Work closely with supply chain, customer service, and office functions to improve order flow, inventory management, and administrative efficiency.
• Conduct time studies, process mapping, and value stream analysis for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and corrective actions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or process optimization within a manufacturing environment (corrugated industry experience preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in conducting continuous improvement events, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of 6S, Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC principles.
